Patty the Dueling Piano-Player!

Latest news:  I perform Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at Sgt. Pepper's Dueling Piano Cafe at the Pike (91 S. Pine Street) in beautiful downtown Long Beach, California, with Ronnie Shelton, Billy Ryan and Martha Boles.    

Come check out the show with our excellent piano team at this fabulous venue - 1 block from the waterfront, across from the convention center, and 2 blocks walk from the Metro.  Great show, great food, great location, great service, great fun!  If you can't get a weekend reservation, consider coming on Thursday and ask for the mid-week discount for parties!  Call (562) 499-4600 for dinner reservations. Recent News:  

January:  Rocked Santa Monica with a couple of solo dates at The Parlor.

November:  Had fun in San Diego dueling with Mark Andert at 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach and Winston's in Ocean Beach.

October:  Dueling in French at King Size Pub in Lausanne, Switzerland with Mark Andert.

July/August:  Been playing all over the place!  The Derby in Mission Viejo, CA, Piano Piano in Claremont, CA, and 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach, CA.

June:  Had a fun Open Mic show with my pal Mark Andert at Piano Piano in Claremont, CA

May:  Played Cinco de Mayo at St. Rocke in Hermosa Beach, CA with San Francisco player Jason Marion. 

March:  Played at Piano Piano with my old dueler friends Douglas Pipes and Ryan Bueter.  You guys rock!

Patty the Big TV Star!

I do sidelining gigs from time to time, so here are some shows where you might see me.  (Don't get too excited - "sidelining" is a euphemism for "an extra who fakes playing a musical instrument.")  

I filmed a scene in January for Private Practice playing in a band at a formal fundraiser event for the hospital.  

 I filmed a bit on the ABC show Brothers and Sisters - I'm playing piano at an engagement party.  Close-up of my back (ha!) as I'm playing background for a scene with Rob Lowe, Calista Flockhart and Marion Ross. I'm in another scene playing in the background while Sally Field and Marion Ross have a chat. 

I played a pianist (shocker!) in another engagement party band on the show Eli Stone, episode "Freedom."  I'm on the stage by the keyboard (of course)...standing next to Victor Garber. 

If you watch reruns of Desperate Housewives, you can hear me play and see my hands on episode 2.03 "You'll Never Get Away From Me."  I spent a day on the set as a "hand double" for Nicolette Sheridan in an episode where her character has to play the piano. (And play badly!  And yes, that's me playing.  The director kept asking me to make it sound worse.)

I appeared in the pilot episode of The Ghost Whisperer with Jennifer Love Hewitt. I was playing keyboards in the wedding band right behind her in the scene where she gets married.

I'm also in the film Freaky Friday: while Lindsay Lohan's band is playing, I'm hanging with the rest of the wedding band (what else) in the back standing at the bar (where else).

Not a sidelining gig, but actually performing:  I was the back-up singer to fellow dueler Stephen Haas competing on Fox's game show Don't Forget the Lyrics.  He didn't win the million bucks, but he got close!

News:  I was in Europe for five fabulous weeks this fall:  two weeks in Sicily, two weeks in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a week split between London and Venice.  Check out the action here:
